Scientists are working hard to understand the mystery of life. How everything was created in universe and so on? But till date they have not found definitive answers for these questions and mysteries of universe. We have no logical explanation for how life comes in to existence. When we are not able to understand and explain something, we say its God’s creation. God is conceived as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. When we think this, first question comes in to our mind is “Who is God”? Then we think - Anyone had seen God? God is man or woman? What religion he/she follows? How God operates and runs universe? Etc etc…… And many more questions. I don’t have definitive answer for these like everyone else rather I have more questions. But I have my view and perceptions, I don’t know if those are right answers or not but I have my theory. At the same time I am still looking and trying to find answers for many more questions. I don’t think, we can see God in a fixed form but we can feel God, we can experience God. I don’t know God’s shape and form. And I don’t know if God is man or woman. I think God operates through us. All living things are God’s medium. This concept raises more questions. If every thing is operated by God using us as a medium, then why some people works negatively and some positively. The answer to this is - Negative and positive are two sides of a coin, if there is good then there is evil, it’s our choice to choose between these two and move on with our life. Some of us choose to live for “me” and some for “us”, and this is how we create difference in universe. “The power of God is with you at all times; through the activities of mind, senses, breathing, and emotions; and is constantly doing all the work using you as a mere instrument.” What is the difference between religion and God? At one point of life, I use to think both are two side of coin but now I think both are different. I think religion is different from God. I think religion is a shadow of God. But the shadows of God cannot be God. A religion is a man made institution, God is the only one we should pray to. God has no religion. God never once said he is the head of a certain religion. God is something beyond our reach yet with in all of us and in everything around us. It is like a blank paper a formless one. Religion is the pen or paintbrush, which can be used to scribble the pure paper. Either you can write something or be it, choice is your. There are many different religions and each makes us believes it understands God, and what God requires of human beings. There are 1000s of religions, but only one true God. “Religion is to do right. It is to love, it is to serve, it is to think, it is to be humble.” Is religion different from spirituality? Spirituality is the desire and drive behind what a person believes. It can either be accompanied by a religion or stand alone, it depends what we believe. How can we reach God? By doing well towards others, acts of kindness, living a good life and not doing any harm to anyone, pursuit of higher knowledge etc. The mind is restless and difficult to restrain, but it is subdued by practice. For this we can pray and meditate, it can help us to concentrate our mind and we can deal with different situation in balance manner with balance mind. This will help us gain spirituality and we can experience God. Prayer is when you talk to God; meditation is when you listen to God. Bhagavad Gita says – “The soul who meditates on the Self is content to serve the Self and rests satisfied within the Self; there remains nothing more for him to accomplish”. “There neither a birth nor death for the soul. The soul is eternal and everlasting. Know this truth and go ahead and perform your duties without expecting the fruits. Learn to attain perfection through action”. So the questions for you are – How do you consider God in your life? What position are you offering to God in your life?
